A Little Introduction...
April 6, 2013
I don't know about you, but reading mommy blogs can be hard at times. As women, we are naturally prone to compare ourselves to those around us. And bloggers control the content of their blogs making it so they can only show the good side of things, causing them to appear perfect.
I'm not here writing this blog to put on some sort of facade. I started this blog because I wanted to share my recipes. My family and I enjoy them, so why can't others enjoy them? I also wanted to be able to share some of the fun things I come up with, whether it be party ideas, crafts, or other DIY projects I happen to whip up. When I accomplish something, I get really excited about it, and I'm not saying like a normal person's excitement, I become almost hyper. Imagine that, a grown women hyper...
This blog is a way for me to express my excitement about things. Whether people care or not is up to them but it's a way for me to express myself and my creativity. You will learn when I complete my ADHD post, that I have Adult ADHD, and one of the best ways to control one's symptoms is to have creative outlets. This blog is one of my outlets.
I don't want to appear fake, self-centered, perfect, or any other negative connotation. I want to be real. I want to be able to relate with others and express that I'm not perfect either. I want to have fun connecting with each and every one of you. I want to inspire.
That's why the new slogan for my site is:
The pursuits of an imperfect momma just trying to complete a project.
I have a very difficult time completing things that I start, I have about 20 different projects stashed away that I started but never finished, not including the drawers and bags full of fabric that I figure I will use "some day". Hopefully, those days will come and those projects will appear on here to give you a little bit of inspiration for your next project.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy my imperfections.
