Avocado 4-Cheese Grilled Cheese
March 25, 2013
My husband is a little sick right now and I don't know what it is about being sick that always seems to make one want grilled cheese. I don't mind though because I love grilled cheese. Not only that, I love to experiment with grilled cheese because there is just so much that you can do. This is one of our absolute favorite ways to make grilled cheese. And don't worry, it tastes AMAZING dipped in tomato soup.
Avocado 4-Cheese Grilled Cheese
Bread
Butter
Mozzarella Cheese
Cheddar Cheese
Avocado Cheese Mixture:
1 Avocado
2 Tbls Olive Oil
1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese
1/4 cup Ricotta Cheese
1/4 tsp Parsley
1/4 tsp Oregano
1/4 tsp Basil
1/2 tsp Salt
Dash of Pepper
1. Blend all the ingredients up for the Avocado Cheese in your blender or food processor of choice. Mine is my Ninja - I LOVE my Ninja.
2. Now I'm going to assume that everyone knows how to make a grilled cheese at this point, I'm going to leave you with just a few tips to optimize your grilled cheese making experience.
-Spread your avocado cheese mixture onto a slice of bread first (after the butter on the other side of course).
-If using any shredded cheese, put that on top of the avocado mixture, that will help it to stick and not fall out of your sandwich when being flipped.
-When making your grilled cheese, put everything that's going into your grilled cheese all on one slice of bread, that way you don't have flying cheese in your attempts to place a slice of bread on top of the other slice of bread.
-Lastly, enjoy all the cheesy, avocado goodness!
This Avocado Cheese Mixture is also perfect for putting in large shells, lasagna, ravioli, and more!
What are some of your grilled cheese creations?
